Accessibility
- Entrances to the Center on Main Street and Goodwin Streets are wheelchair accessible. 6 wheelchair-accessible slots and companion seats are available in the Borchers Performance Hall. Assistive Listening - Assisted Listening devices are available for performances at the Welder Center. The aids can be obtained at the Concession Stand in the Lobby. A driver's license or credit card will be requested as a deposit.
Food & Beverage - Drinks and snacks can be purchased before performances, as well as at intermission, at the Concession Bar in the Leo J. Welder Center Lobby. The Concession Bar stocks bottled water, soda, coffee, beer, and wine. Drinks with lids or caps are allowed in the Performance Hall. Food is allowed in the performance hall on a limited basis.
Tickets - Tickets are non-refundable. Tickets may be exchanged to another date of the same production for a fee at management's discretion. Lost tickets will be replaced, with proof of purchase, at the Box Office on the evening of the performance only. A fee may be charged for this service.
Cameras & Recording Devices - Unless specifically allowed by an event producer, the use of cameras and recording devices is prohibited. Any allowed cameras or recording devices may not block aisles or entrances.
Parking -The Welder Center does not have designated or reserved parking for event attendees. Plentiful curbside parking is available on surrounding streets. There may be a fee to park in the One O'Connor Plaza parking garage, located directly across Main Street from the Welder Center.
Emergency - In case of emergency during a performance, please notify a member of the Leo J. Welder Center staff.

PROMOTER INFORMATION

The center is available for your arts or business events. Several rental areas within the facility are available. Our Booking Priority Schedule defines how Welder Center events are scheduled.

  1. Review the Rental RatesOperating GuidelinesTechnical Information, and FAQ.
  2. Complete and return the Rental Information Form. Include proof of non-profit status if applicable.
  3. A staff person will contact you to confirm event details; rental fees will be calculated and a contract for rental will be issued. Rental is not confirmed until the signed contract has been returned. Victoria College Business Office will coordinate billing and payment.
  4. Review Box Office Service Polices; complete and return the Box Office Service Request at least 2 weeks before you want your tickets to go on sale.

Dr. Charles and Mary Katherine Borchers Performance Hall

The hall seats 476 which includes 6 wheelchair accessible spaces. The 41' wide by 26' deep stage generously accommodates live productions of theatre, dance, music and chorale groups. The stage apron is 18' deep in front of the grand drape, and is ideal for intimate concerts and business presentations. A cinema projection system with 30’ screen and multi-media projection system with 16’ screen are available for movie events, live feeds, and business presentations. Seating Chart

Rehearsal Hall

The rehearsal hall is outfitted with full-length mirrors for rehearsals and adaptable to black box theatre; the kitchen/food prep station makes this an ideal area for seated dinners or hospitality room.

Charla Borchers Leon Board Room

Available for board meetings, workshops and small business presentations with a board table that seats 12.

Lobby

Great for social events and parties. Amenities include announcement system, concession bar, comfortable seating, and gallery space.
